The Septic Homeowner is a free site. It is funded by display advertising and by affiliate links. This page explains what that means.
Affiliate links
Some links to products on this site are affiliate links. If you buy something after clicking one, this site may earn a small commission. The price you pay is exactly the same either way.
The Septic Homeowner is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com.
Where an article contains affiliate links, that is stated at the top of the article.
What commissions do not buy
No company has paid to be recommended here, and no product appears on this site because a commission is attached to it.
Where the evidence does not support a product category — as is the case with most biological septic additives — this site says so, regardless of whether those products carry commissions. Where a cheaper or free alternative exists, it is named.
If a recommendation here ever stops being honest, the site stops being worth reading, and there is no commission that covers that.
Advertising
This site displays ads served by third-party advertising networks. Those networks may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. See the privacy policy for details and for how to control this.
